New Year Resolution’s 2015

Posted by writergrll. Comments (5).

A few weeks back, I did a 2014 resolution final push.  I am here to report on my final progress for the 2014 goals/resolutions and reveal the list for 2015 (most of which I have already started on!)

Health/Well Being

  • drink more water (6 eight ounce glasses, per day.)
  • work out (3x’s per week. Cardio and weights)
  • lose 4 lbs. by 2/27/2014
  • Brush teeth/ remove makeup nightly before bed

Finances/Work

  • pay off credit card debt by end of year (Changed to car payment.)
  • look into student loans
  • retirement plan/savings
  • future planning with teaching–check out options/other schools

Misc.

  • cultivate/improve friendships
  • travel more
  • blog- regular posting, organization, ad revenue
  • read 12 books
  • sew/make stuff (3 useable items by end of year)

The red text are items that I did not complete, the orange are items that I sort of completed and/or modified, and the green items are the area’s where I was successful.  For Health and Well Being I started the year out well, but then dropped the ball and never quite picked it back up again.  For Finances/Work I made some really good headway with my debt reduction plan, but I made a few modifications throughout the year.  In the misc. category I did the best—mostly because it is composed of things that I enjoy doing: reading, blogging, and sewing!

Resolutions/Goals for 2015

Health/Well Being

  • Lose 7 lbs. by 3/9/2015 (9 weeks) by following the South Beach Diet
  • workout (3x’s per week–cardio and weights)
  • Be more active
  • Brush and floss more often

Finances/Work

  • Continue with debt reduction plan: eliminate credit card debt by 5/2015
  • Continue to pay on student loans
  • Retirement planning/savings

Misc.

  • Travel more/ Go skydiving
  • Blog– continue to improve– update theme, better back-end organization, ad revenue (equal or exceed ad revenue earnings for 2014)
  • Read 12 books
  • Improve sewing skills (attend a class at Jo Ann Fabric (?), make 3 useable/wearable items)
  • Continue to improve my Youtube channel and post more frequently– a minimum of 2 video’s per month, ideally 3-4

There you have it!  These are the goals for 2015.  Yes, I do realize that these are almost the same goals as 2014 that I didn’t do so well with, but that’s o.k.  I think that sometimes those things happen.

What are your resolutions or goals for the year?  I purposely waited to officially start mine until today, Monday Jan. 5.  It was good to have those first few days to think about what my goals are and my plan of attack.
