Grey and Gold

Posted by writergrll. Comment (0).

This super simple outfit is based on a pin from outfitposts.com but I cannot for the life of me seem to find it!  I spent about 15 minutes and then said to heck with it.  It was a bit chilly towards the end of last week with some rain and thunderstorms.  I paired this lightweight grey sweater with a pair of medium wash skinny jeans and brown ballet flats.  To further incorporate warm tones I went with an oversized gold watch and a long gold pendant/tassel necklace.  After putting all of my effort in to my outfit and makeup I didn’t have much time or energy left for my hair so I pulled it back into a low chignon and called it done!

Resort Wear

On Tuesday I paired my dark wash bootcut jeans with this flower printed top.  This top is three-quarter sleeve and can easily be worn all year long.  But, it always reminds me of the type of print that you see featured on resort wear.  The flower print always makes me think of vacation and tropical get-away’s.  Alas, I just wore it to work!  I added my red boyfriend cardigan in lieu of a jacket and then went with gold and red earrings and an oversized gold watch for accessories.  My black espadrille sandals finished off the look.

Here are a few other ways that I’ve worn this blouse in the past:

What do you think?  I should pair it with my royal blue blazer and a black pencil skirt next time!

Grocery Shopping

I wore this outfit on Sunday and then a modified version of this outfit to work on Monday.  This is a pretty dressed up outfit for the grocery store.  Normally, I just wear jeans, a hoodie, and tennis shoes.  But, on this particular day I put in some more effort.  I paired these olive-green trousers with a bright pink v-neck t-shirt.  It was on the warmer side but I still needed a jacket so I added my jean jacket for warmth.  Because we were just going to the grocery store and back home I went with sandals as opposed to ballet flats or my white leather Converse.

What do you wear grocery shopping?
