Thursday I got up, got dressed, and went to work.  Except I wasn’t supposed to be at work.  I know– you’re thinking how could that happen?  But, there’s a simple explanation.  I’ve been working with my employer to reduce my hours to part-time and all of the paperwork and everything finally went through.  The trouble is that they notified me through my work e-mail and they don’t allow remote access.  So, I had no idea that everything had been finalized until I was at work and reading through my e-mail.

But, it wasn’t all bad.  Since I was already up, dressed, and ready for the day I took advantage of that motivation and went home to do some more packing.  That day I tackled about 75% of the kitchen– all of the dishware, glasses, pots & pans that we can do without for the next few weeks.  I left a few glasses, coffee cups, plates, bowls, one frying pan, sauce pan, and large pot.  That’s when I ran out of boxes.  So, I took that break as an opportunity to go grocery shopping and get some more packing boxes.  Then, I came back home and did some more packing and worked on school stuff.  All in all, it was quite a productive day.

For the workday that I didn’t work, I paired my blue and white striped maternity shirt from Old Navy with my non-maternity olive-green skinny khaki pants– also from Old Navy.  I was going to wear my white converse for sort of a casual and sporty look, but my husband wore his green khaki pants with a navy Indian’s polo and his brown deck shoes so I was inspired to do the same.  I’m glad that I did because when I looked back in the gallery the last time I wore this t-shirt I paired it with medium-wash boot cut jeans and my white converse.  So, this was something different.

Last Friday I ended the week with my flowered pants.  I only wore these a few times before getting pregnant and it’s a bit late in my pregnancy for them, but I made them work.  Luckily, this dark teal sleeveless t-shirt is quite long and covered the waistband of my pants.  Because the top is sleeveless, I added the short-sleeve white cardigan.  I also wanted to lighten up the outfit some.  Additionally, to keep it light and airy I went with my trust black sandals.  For jewelry I went with my silver watch and coral/orange wooden ball earrings.

Here are two ways that I styled these pants before my pregnancy.  Back then, I was able to wear them fully buttoned and zipped.  This time around, I wore them unbuttoned and folded the waist band down so that it laid somewhat flat and under my belly bump.  The long shirt is covering everything that is going on!

Thursday I had a calibration meeting at work with a few other supervisors other than my own.  I thought that this would be a great time to wear my newest maternity clothing item: a pair of black dress pants with a full belly panel.  I purchased these from Wal-Mart, of all places, a few weeks ago with returning to the classroom in mind.

I put some outfits together last Sunday for the week and I was really happy to get back to pre-planning outfits.  I went through my closet and grabbed all of the tops that I can still make work and the handful of pants that I have.  Many of my outfits this week have featured a long tanktop with a cardigan and either leggings or skinny jeans.

These black dress pants worked really well and I can tell that they are going to be an important part of my Fall wardrobe.  I was even thinking about getting another pair in grey or khaki.  They are a touch long so I did have to wear them with these black ballet flats that have the slightest bit of a wedge to the heel.  Then, I went with a striped silky tanktop and added a black cardigan.  I had originally picked a coral colored short-sleeved cardigan but I didn’t think that it looked right.  I thought the black made the outfit more dressy and pulled everything together.  I went with my silver watch and black flower earrings.  I also went with a dramatic burgundy lip.  I do wish that I had taken more time to style my hair, but oh well.

What do you think?  Do you like this outfit?  Here are a few other ways that I’ve worn this top:
